Northville Christian School is an integral part of our church's mission. Our preschool through eighth grade school originated from a dream with dedicated people. The purpose of our school is to offer families academic excellence that is based upon a strong biblical worldview. It is our desire to inspire our students to seek a relationship with Christ and develop the potential He has placed within them. After two decades of persevering efforts, we are seeing over 400 children each year benefit from a Christ-centered educational community. We are challenged by God's command to raise children carefully under His direction. We are committed to teaching and nurturing each child the Lord sends to us with a strong group of Christian professionals who are influencing our students' lives for eternity.

We love our school, and think you will too!

Here are some of our school's highlights (click on any of these headings for more information):

Resource Room  | Music & Band  | Small Class Size | Art
Computer Lab  | Physical Education  | Team Sports Program

Resource Room

NCS realizes each child’s learning style is unique. Some children struggle within the classroom and need additional support to understand new concepts. Our school has special team of teachers to assist children to develop their reading and math skills. Our students with learning disabilities have been able to succeed in school because of the guidance they have received from our experienced staff.

Music & Band

Our community is uplifted every year with the performances presented by our children’s music department. The auditorium fills up with families eager to be inspired by the musical gifts of their children. Choirs, individual performances and the student band all combine to create a talented opportunity for our students.

Small Class Size

We have limited our classes to no more than 24 students per class. We realize a child’s academic success can be enhanced by more personal time spent with the teacher. The smaller class size allows the teacher to better know the students and meet their personal needs.

Our lower grades benefit from having a teacher’s aid in the room to assist the teacher with the daily instruction and routine.

Art

Our program explores many styles of art expression. Our teacher has mentored children in the arts for over nine years. The students are exposed to drawing, and given an understanding of colors, crafts, and many other forms of self-expression. They use sewing machines and wood working tools to create the projects within our extensive curriculum.

Each spring we host a wonderful art fair and ice cream social where parents and students can appreciate the creative work of each child.

Computer Lab

Our students participate in the computer program each week. The instructor guides them through a curriculum for their age level. The separate computer classroom holds 25 computers, where each child can learn new skills for themselves.

Physical Education

The church and school have just completed a large gymnasium. We have developed a very effective physical education program over the last twenty years. The children participate in age-appropriate activities each week. The upper grades are involved in the P.E. class several times each week.

The activities range from classic favorites such as relay races and dodge ball to traditional sports like soccer and basketball. Included in the program are numerous non-competitive games, which stress teamwork, fun and cooperation.

The school has a fifteen-acre campus with soccer fields for all sorts of outdoor games and activities.

Team Sports Program

Team Sports Program Our sports ministry complements the culture of our school by pulling students and families together for fun and teamwork. The coaches see their time with the children as an opportunity to develop character within them. Coaches set aside time to pray and discuss with the students how their sporting activity reflects a biblical principle.

Students from as low as the fourth grade participate in the following sporting teams:

Soccer for boys and girls
Girl’s basketball in the fall
Boy’s basketball
Girls volleyball
Wrestling
Softball for girls
Softball for boys
Cheerleading
